Chair Massage Rates

  • $100 Per hour on sight Chair Massage.
  • Prices may vary depending on details of sight arrangement.
  • Discounts will automatically be applied when applicable!


Office Rates

  • Portland Massage Arts bills $90 for one hour, with payment at time of service. $10 discount for re-booking.
  • $135 for 90 minutes.
  • $150 for 2 hours.
  • $120 per hour of massage, (97214,)
  • $200 for medical Massage and charting (97140)
  • Out Calls: $225 for the 1st Hour, $90 for each additional hour. Cannot be billed to insurance.
  • Clients are ultimately responsible for payment of services rendered.

Office Policies

  • New Clients: Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out a health intake form, and to discuss with your therapist what you’d like to focus on. If you are late to your session, we will do our best to accommodate you for the time you have left without penalizing the following client. Clients who are over 20 minutes late will be asked to reschedule their appointment, and will face a cancellation fee.
  • PMA does not offer refunds for massage services or gift cards. Gift cards and store credit are non-transferable and cannot be shared.
  • Discounted Packages are available for purchase, and may not be shared with another client, or combined with Gift Cards or other offers or discounts.
  • If you need to change or cancel your appointment, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance, to avoid a cancellation fee.
  • We accept Cash, Visa, PayPal and Master Card. We do not accept 3rd Party Vouchers
  • A $25 non-refundable retainer fee must be paid upfront. 

Clients have the right to a clean, safe, and comfortable environment and to be treated with consideration, dignity and respect. A client has the right to stop a treatment at any time, for any reason.

Clients have the responsibility to communicate their preferences, expectations and concerns. Clients must also be responsible for communicating an accurate health history and to communicating the reasons for their visit.

INFORMED CONSENT: Prior to each session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first appointment you will receive a copy of the massage therapy policies and will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with our policies and procedures.

Massage Therapists will gladly adjust pressure, temperature, music selection or volume, and will adjust treatment of any part of the body at client's request. Please communicate any preferences to your therapist so we can provide you with the best experience possible. The client may choose to leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, or stop the massage at any time. The client will always be modestly draped. Requests for no draping will NOT be accommodated in accordance with our own ethical guidelines and Oregon law. Occasionally an emotional response to massage occurs. If this happens it is OK to express your feelings, request privacy or end the session.


Breast and genital areas will not be massaged. Permission will be asked before working near these areas, and a professional distance will be maintained at all times. On rare occasions an involuntary sexual response to massage will happen. This is natural and will subside on its own in a few moments. Sexual interaction of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is never appropriate.

Client requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated. Such requests will result in immediate termination of services, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities. The client will not be rescheduled and the full service price will be charged.


Any discussion between a massage therapist and the client is confidential. Any health information disclosed, observed or treated will be kept confidential under Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) law. HIPAA law will will be observed in all exchanges of information, and third parties will be held accountable to act within HIPAA law as well. A consent of treatment signature and communication with the client or parties or third party providers authorizes Portland Massage Arts to use  email communication.


It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any significant health changes or of any active or ongoing medical treatments. In some instances, massage therapist may request a letter from supervising physicians to confirm that massage therapy has been deemed appropriate. For clients undergoing chemo or radiation therapies, please note that PMA requires a doctor's note acknowledging the supervising physician is aware of and agrees to the desired treatment.

YOUR MASSAGE APPOINTMENT: Expect session times to run 15-30 minutes longer than what is scheduled. This allows the therapist time for proper intake and exit discussions. If you are late to your appointment, your massage time may be shortened if it is necessary for the therapist to maintain a schedule. In this case, your bill will not be reduced. If the therapist is late, and it is still necessary to shorten your session your bill will be discounted proportionately.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. Clients who cancel with fewer than 24 hours notice may be charged 50% of their service total.

NO SHOW POLICY: If a client is a no-show, with no advance notice, they will be billed the full service fee. Future appointments will be invoiced in advance.

$70 per hour, on site chair massage.
$50 of 97129, Per Unite for medial massage and charting.
$30 of 97124, per unit for private insurance plans.

Gratuities: Gratuities are welcome and much appreciated although they are not mandatory. Service and gift certificate prices do not include gratuities.

The environment:
Is designed for safety, comfort and healing. Lighting, audio, temperature, and airflow can be adjusted (to a degree) to your preference. Please let the therapist know what is to your liking.

Consideration for Clients Who Are Minors:
A discussion with the parent or guardian as well as the minor will take place before any session to discuss the parameters of the session.

CLIENTS HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO: Communicate their preferences, expectations and concerns. To communicate complete and accurate health information and reasons for their visit.

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.

Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions, nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician.

Massage Therapists in the state of Oregon are not approved to perform chiropractic adjustments of joint structures.

Chair Massage:

It is the clients responsibility to communicate any health concern, injury or illness to their therapist prior to receiving treatment. 
It is the therapists job to have a working knowledge of safe practices and to respond to the clients wishes.
